My name is Joshua Stubbolo and I am hosting this event as an effort to pay it forward for the help I received when I was in transition and now I want to do the same for others. This is a free event designed to help Triangle Professionals network, make contacts and expand their social circle - and find potential job prospects in the process. This event is open to all those in transition with a focus on professionals in IT, Software Development, Project/Product Managers, Network Engineers, Business Analysts, QA and all other related professions.

Denise Pavona

Staffing & Recruitment

Denise Pavona is the owner of Spherion Staffing & Recruiting in Raleigh. Her company manages staffing and recruiting services for Light Industrial, Administration, Finance, Accounting and Technology Professionals in Wake, Durham, Orange, Franklin and Johnston counties. Denise was a technologist before moving into a chief operating role managing a global multi-million dollar recruiting program that spanned six countries. Her passion for people and entrepreneurial spirit led her to business ownership. She currently works with local companies within the Triangle and beyond to bring people back to work. Denise was recently interviewed on WRAL as a local job market expert in the Triangle, she is a member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the North Carolina Technology Association.

Resume Writer & Career Coach

Carrie Christiano is Certified Professional Resume Writer and Career Coach with a background in HR Talent Acquisition and agency recruiting. She has worked extensively with Fortune 500 companies throughout the Research Triangle Park area in North Carolina, including IBM, Red Hat, Cisco, and LexisNexis. This background allows Carrie to offer unique insights on the recruiting and hiring process, having worked behind the scenes closely with HR authorities and hiring managers to fill hundreds of roles in finance, technology, and clinical research.

 

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications from Tulane University in New Orleans, Carrie became certified as a Professional Resume Writer in 2009 and possesses a wealth of knowledge on methods used by hiring teams to determine skill set match and cultural fit.  She has her own consulting business and teaches classes in career transition at Wake Tech Community College and with Dress for Success, a non-profit helping women achieve economic independence.

 

Carrie offers a free resume critique for anyone interested in learning more about developing a great resume. Her services include writing resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and professional biographies. She also coaches clients on RADICAL strategies for proactive job search, networking, interviewing, and negotiating.

Ted Case is the President of Expanding Dynamics, Inc. and creator of 10,000 YEAR Thinking®, which is a systematic way of thinking about and actively supporting an effective mindset for flexible and innovative leadership in an entrepreneurial culture. He has spent the last eighteen years working with entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial teams and other people who are eager to engage deeply in their personal and professional lives. Before that, he spent over twenty years as a restaurant and small food manufacturing business owner.

I am the Community Manager for General Assembly Raleigh and I raise local brand awareness and engagement to our fuel market expansion across The Triangle. I am looking to develop strategic partnerships and mobilize grassroots marketing initiatives with local influencers and business leaders. I represent GA in the community and am responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our digital campus in Raleigh.
